Our
ventilation valves and throttles
Ventilation valves and throttles from Karcoma are tailored to specific requirements in collaboration with our customers. This applies to dimensions and shaping in relation to the respective installation space as well as functional parameters such as opening pressure or, when combined with a filter element, the mesh fineness.
The throttles and ventilation valves are generally assembled fully automatically on individually adapted assembly machines with consistent precision. Compliance with the specified limit values for important characteristics is ensured by series-accompanying tests of every single component, either manually or automated depending on the scope.
- Ventilation valves
Application
Aeration and ventilation of tank and drive systems, fluid systems, and liquid containers. Used, for example, in vehicle transmissions and power equipment.
- Throttles
Application
Pressure reduction in the flowing medium for fluid and drive systems. Used, for example, in vehicle transmissions.
Functionality
In spring-loaded check valves, the closing element (ball) is pressed into the corresponding seat from one side by spring force, thus closing the valve (default position). If there is pressure from the flowing medium (air) in the flow direction that overcomes the force of the spring, the ball is lifted from the seat and the flow is cleared.
Functionality
The pressure reduction in the flowing medium is achieved by narrowing the flow cross-section, if necessary also in combination with a filter element.
